During a meeting with Pope Francis at Ajaccio airport in Corsica, French President Emmanuel Macron pledges assistance to residents of Mayotte after Cyclone Chido carved a path of devastation across the French Indian Ocean territory. "From one island to another, from one territory of France to another, from one continent to another, I have this thought for them as I stand with you today," Macron tells the pontiff.
