French PM says government has 'no right' to 'criticise' court decisions after Le Pen poll ban
After the conviction of French far right leader Marine Le Pen and immediate ban on standing for political office, French Prime Minister François Bayrou states in the National Assembly that there is "no possibility, especially for a government official, to criticise a judicial decision" and that "we do not have the right to do so." The Prime Minister also urges "unconditional, unwavering, and strong" support for the magistrates who issued the ruling. SOUNDBITE
